Tulsi Gabbard Against the Machine follows Tulsi Gabbard's extraordinary political journey, beginning with her childhood in Hawaii, where her family instilled the values of spirituality, service, and independent thinking. Believing politics could be a force for peace, integrity, and public service, Gabbard rises from the Hawaii Legislature to military service in Iraq, the U.S. Congress, leadership within the Democratic Party, and a campaign for president.

But as she ventures deeper into Washington, Gabbard finds herself increasingly at odds with "the machine", political institutions that reward conformity, protect entrenched power, and discourage dissent. From challenging the Democratic establishment to serving as Director of National Intelligence, Gabbard stands by her principles as she battles the forces that came to dominate American politics. Against all odds, she stands for truth and accountability and insists the future of American democracy belongs to the American people and no one else.
